Do not be a northerner or a southerner, Be an INDIAN

When I think of racism, the recent incident that I could possibly recollect is what had happened on one night of my college life. It was a Saturday night when I left our hostel during a weekend for the movie with my friends. It was during that course of time I encountered the most heart breaking moment, which I myself feel down when I look over it . We set our journey to KG Theatre and the bus driver pushed the accelerator ambitiously. At the very next stop, the most sympathetic guy boarded on ,  who was opposite in color, same in sex , differed in the geographical location, a person of lower esteem, not so popular profession, not so rude when compared to the conductor, if one of those were the reasons for the conductor’s unappreciable racist behavior. The North Indian guy asked for the ticket with a Ten rupee note, for the nine rupees ticket and the conductor scolded in harsh words, as he knew that our innocent guy would not be able to understand what comes out of his mouth , for not providing the exact change with him. The conductor could have requested or insisted him politely for that, but he was rude enough to draw attention of everyone in the bus as we all knew what those words meant and what he was up to. On having looked at the incident, I could only guess that he was not contented of his rudeness. The guy was asked to pay for the small bag he was carrying . Before the guy could speak something, or even resist, the conductor kept his hands over our guy’s shoulder and began pushing forcefully enough to humiliate him in front of public. The guy, however at last tried to take money from his pocket telling something, which conductor without even understanding  a word of it , asked the guy to get out of the bus. Then, we got out of the bus hurriedly as it was getting late for the movie leaving behind the thought of what was the result of the argument between an innocent Indian and the racist conductor.

I could not get better sleep that night. That incident left me with the following thoughts. Why are people so rude? Why was the conductor so rude? Was he rude just because the innocent guy  is  a North Indian or Was it because he had had arguments with his wife the previous night? Didn’t he like the silence of that guy? Was he resembling someone he had always hated? All these provided me , however with the clear thought and the solution. Whatever might the reasons be for his harsh behavior. Here, don’t think that I am being stereotypical either in supporting a North Indian guy or hating a South Indian guy , after all we all are Indians by birth. One’s self feelings should not be a cause for disturbing or distracting from performing his duty . One must be humble with everyone especially with the ones who are inferior to them.(Sorry, I got to mention atleast here). Keep your cool under all circumstances. Looking down on others is the root cause for aggression, which inturn is the root cause for unknowingly making arch enemies and resulting  in terrorism. So, the root is the superiority complex. Kindly do come out of it. Treat everyone as your own brothers and sisters. The phrase, All Indians are my brothers and sisters should not just be a saying but you all should be the living examples of those proud lines .

I might not be the guy to advice others. But as an Indian , observing these kind of people, I cannot certainly resist myself from suggesting my dear Indians a good path

PS- My kind apologies for the poor vocabulary , i hope my dear Indians would not mind that :)
